Location: Berkeley, CAPay: $40.00 - $45.00/hour Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician to support the build, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced electrical systems and test equipment. This is a hands-on role working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments, supporting prototypes, electrical assemblies, and test infrastructure. Responsibilities
• Assemble and wire industrial control panels. • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. • Build and fabricate wire harnesses and cable assemblies. • Perform crimping, routing, labeling, and continuity testing. • Assemble, solder, repair, and rework PCBAs, including through-hole and surface-mount components. • Use microscopes, soldering stations, and rework tools to inspect and repair electronic assemblies. • Support electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities. • Build and maintain test fixtures, wiring assemblies, and custom electrical equipment. • Install sensors, instrumentation, power supplies, and data acquisition equipment. • Document test results, findings, and build records. • Follow electrical safety procedures and maintain organized work areas. Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician, Engineering Technician, Panel Builder, or similar role. • Experience with electrical wiring, harness fabrication, and panel assembly. • Experience with PCBA assembly, soldering, and rework. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. • Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Experience with industrial control panels preferred. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • UL508A panel wiring and assembly. • Wire harness fabrication and continuity verification. • Test fixture and custom electrical equipment assembly. • Prototype, laboratory, or R&D build environments. • Electrical testing and commissioning. Schedule
