Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionThe Material Handler supports production lines by safely moving, staging, and supplying raw materials, using various material handling equipment, and assisting with general labor tasks to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.Responsibilities
• Provide raw materials to production lines in a timely and accurate manner to support continuous manufacturing operations. • Operate a sit-down forklift, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack to move materials throughout the facility. • Load and unload materials safely from trucks, storage areas, and production lines. • Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Relieve machine operators during breaks and lunches by assisting with line support activities. • Assist with bagging products as they come off the production line. • Use RF scanners, when required, to track and manage inventory movement. • Scan and label products accurately to ensure proper identification and traceability. • Pick, pack, and stage materials and finished goods according to production and shipping requirements. • Inspect goods for visible damage and report any issues promptly. • Handle general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment as needed to support overall production. • Follow all safety guidelines and equipment operating procedures while working around machinery and material handling equipment. Essential Skills
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a manufacturing or production environment. • Proficiency using an electric pallet jack and manual pallet jack for material handling. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly. • Experience in material handling, general labor, or warehouse operations. • Comfort working in a production or manufacturing environment around machinery and equipment. • Ability to perform loading and unloading tasks safely and efficiently. • Attention to detail when scanning, labeling, picking, packing, and staging materials. • Basic familiarity with inventory processes and product flow. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience relieving machine operators by supporting line operations during breaks and lunches. • Experience assisting with bagging products as they come off production lines. • RF scanning experience is a plus. • Experience scanning and labeling products in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. • Experience inspecting goods for damage and reporting issues. • Prior experience in a general labor role within a production or manufacturing environment. • Comfort working with glue-like odors and typical manufacturing smells. It can be very hot in the summer and is expected to be cold in the winter, with large fans planned for installation to improve airflow. The environment includes typical machinery noise, though it is not described as extremely loud. There is a noticeable glue-like smell in the air due to production processes. The position involves working around forklifts, pallet jacks, production lines, and other material handling equipment, with an expectation of regular physical activity and time spent on the production floor. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corona, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
