Entry Level Machinist With Pay Up To $27/hour In Cambridge, MN.Responsibilities
• Operate CNC machines in a manufacturing environment to produce parts according to specifications. • Load raw materials into CNC machines and ensure proper placement and secure setup. • Monitor machine operation, including automatic machines with robotic arms, to maintain consistent production. • Read and follow basic work instructions and production documentation accurately. • Inspect parts as they come off the machine using micrometers, calipers, and other hand measurement tools. • Verify that parts meet quality and dimensional requirements and identify any defects or deviations. • Communicate issues with equipment, materials, or quality to the appropriate team members promptly. • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and an active interest in learning CNC machines and processes. Essential Skills
• Minimum of 6+ months of experience in a role requiring mechanical inclination (such as lube technician, construction, or shop class) or 6+ months of manufacturing experience with machine operation. • Ability to operate or learn to operate CNC machines with computer-controlled interfaces. • Basic ability to read and follow work instructions in a manufacturing setting. • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, machinery, and production equipment. • Strong interest in learning CNC operations and the ability to clearly explain this interest in an interview. • Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and actively engage in learning new machines and processes. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
