Shipping and Receiving SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist who will be responsible for receiving products, managing inventory, pulling orders, palletizing, and loading trucks for shipping. The role involves occasional forklift usage (10% of the day at most), handling Bills of Lading (BOL), and utilizing UPS Worldship. The position also includes participation in quarterly inventory counts.Responsibilities
• Receive and put away inventory efficiently. • Pull orders and prepare them for shipment. • Palletize and load trucks for shipping. • Use forklift occasionally for material handling. • Manage Bills of Lading and UPS Worldship. • Participate in quarterly inventory counts. • Ensure accurate labeling of products to meet customer requirements. • Utilize computer systems to weigh, label, and ship products. • Track shipments and orders using Excel and other software. Essential Skills
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Basic math proficiency (decimals, fractions). • Forklift operation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in the automotive parts industry. • Six months of experience with Sit Down forklift operation. • Ability to work independently and proactively manage workload. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
