Production WorkerJob DescriptionThe Production Worker operates and monitors manufacturing processes including mixing, extrusion, polishing, and finishing to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications. This role involves accurately measuring and loading ingredients, running and adjusting equipment, transferring batches between processes, and consistently checking product quality throughout production.Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production processes including mixing, extrusion, polishing, and finishing to ensure products meet established specifications. • Read and follow manufacturing order instructions, including identifying required ingredients and understanding process steps and time parameters. • Gather, measure, weigh, and accurately document ingredients, including materials that may weigh up to 50 pounds. • Load ingredients into mixers, blend according to specified times, and safely unload mixers to transfer mixed batches to the next process. • Process mixed batches through extrusion equipment to create finished product, monitoring equipment performance and adjusting controls as needed. • Use product controls and sensory checks throughout the extrusion process to confirm that the finished product matches customer requirements. • Manage and transfer finished product from extrusion and drying processes using drums, carts, or trays. Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of recent manufacturing experience in production; experience with mixing, extrusion, batching, polishing, and finishing preferred (training provided if needed). • Ability to use hand tools and equipment such as RF scanners, hand trucks, and sifting screeners. • Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed. • Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and ability to work effectively as part of a team. • At least 6 months of production or manufacturing experience in a similar environment. • Ability to follow detailed manufacturing orders and time-based process specifications. • Commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and strict hygiene and sanitation procedures. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
