About Newmont 
 Newmont Tanami is located on Aboriginal freehold land approximately 540km northwest of Alice Springs and is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset within a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 (TE2) project is extending mine life beyond 2040 through the development of a hoisting shaft, increasing underground production from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Strong underground exploration results and the successful delivery of the first Tanami Expansion have positioned Tanami as a major contributor to the Newmont global portfolio. A fully equipped accommodation village is located 40km from site, offering a range of leisure facilities for employees flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin. Your Impact 
 As a Grader Operator, you'll help maintain safe, efficient and reliable underground haul roads that support production across Newmont's Tanami operation. By ensuring roadways remain in optimal condition and operating equipment to a high standard, you'll contribute to safe mobile equipment movement, improved productivity and a well-maintained underground environment

As Part of Our Team, You Will 
 • Operate underground grading equipment to maintain safe, smooth and navigable haul roads across the mine. • Maintain road surfaces, windrows and drainage systems to support safe and efficient production activities. • Conduct pre-start inspections, identify defects and take ownership of the safe operation and condition of assigned equipment. • Communicate effectively with supervisors and mobile equipment operators to coordinate activities and minimise operational disruptions. • Contribute to a strong safety culture through hazard identification, workplace inspections and compliance with site procedures and standards

Prerequisites for Success in This Role 
 • Proven experience operating heavy mobile equipment in an underground mining environment. • Sound understanding of grader operation, blade control and routine preventative maintenance requirements. • Strong knowledge of underground mining safety practices, risk management and site procedures. • Ability to work effectively in confined underground environments while coordinating with other equipment operators and crews. • Strong communication skills, a positive safety focus and a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.

Your Work Environment 
 This permanent position is offered on a 7days7nights - 14days off roster rotation and is based at Newmont's Tanami operation in the Northern Territory. As a fly-in, fly-out operation, Tanami provides modern camp accommodation and facilities while on site. You'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams supporting one of Australia's premier underground gold mining operations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a safety-focused culture that values teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement in a technically challenging and unique operating environment. Reporting to the Supervisor, Load and Haul, you'll work closely with underground truck operators, bogger operators, water cart operators, Health & Safety and Training teams, as well as other operational personnel across the mine to support safe and efficient underground production activities.
