We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Development Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills. You will lead a team of talented engineers, own the design and delivery of highly scalable frontend and backend services, drive engineering excellence, and influence the technical direction of DAZN's consumer platform. As a technical leader, you will partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering Managers, Architects, and other engineering teams to deliver innovative experiences for millions of sports fans worldwide. Lead the design, development, and delivery of large-scale Full Stack applications. Own technical architecture and contribute to long-term engineering strategy. Drive adoption of engineering best practices, coding standards, design principles, and quality processes. Design scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available cloud-native solutions. Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and design sessions. Mentor, coach, and develop engineers through regular code reviews and technical guidance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and Platform Engineering. Improve platform performance, reliability, scalability, observability, and security. Drive CI/CD improvements, release automation, and developer productivity initiatives. Identify technical debt and define pragmatic modernization strategies. Champion Agile engineering practices and continuous improvement. Stay updated with emerging technologies and evaluate opportunities to improve the platform.
