About the role: Reporting to the Nattional Manager – Financial Lines , you will play a key role in managing and growing a Financial Lines portfolio by handling renewals, assessing and converting new business opportunities, and delivering responsive, high‑quality service to brokers. You’ll monitor portfolio performance, ensure compliance with underwriting and legislative requirements, stay across industry developments, and actively participate in market engagement and networking activities. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years experience as an Underwriter, or a well experienced Assistant Underwriter looking to step up and take on full underwriting responsibility within a supportive and high-performing environment. Manage and service an existing Financial Lines portfolio, including renewals and mid‑term adjustments Assess and underwrite new business opportunities in line with authority and guidelines Strengthen and maintain strong broker relationships through responsive and professional service Conduct portfolio reviews to monitor performance, profitability, and trends Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, legislative requirements, and internal policies Keep across industry developments, competitor activity, and emerging risks Attend networking events, broker meetings, and industry functions as required Contribute positively to a high‑performance, collaborative culture
