About the Role We are currently seeking a highly motivated Patient Services Specialist I to support front office operations and coordinate patient access services within our medical clinics. The Patient Services Specialist I is responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience through appointment scheduling, referrals, authorizations, registration, and checkout activities. This role serves as a liaison between patients, providers, payers, and clinical staff to support efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role requires fluency in both English and Spanish to support the diverse needs of our patient population. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments while supporting efficient patient access and clinic operations. Process and track referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications while coordinating with insurance carriers, provider offices, and patients. Verify insurance eligibility, collect copays, and maintain accurate patient registration and demographic information. Coordinate follow-up appointments, specialty care referrals, and diagnostic testing to support continuity of care. Maintain accurate electronic medical records and supporting documentation. Partner with providers, medical assistants, and care teams to improve patient flow, close care gaps, and enhance patient satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned in support of clinic operations and patient care.
