About this role
The Technical Buyer plays a pivotal role in our supply chain management operations, focusing on the procurement of technical components in alignment with Advita’s strategic initiatives. The individual in this role ensures that procurement activities are conducted efficiently, delivering both value and quality to the organization. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external suppliers, the Technical Buyer I will drive optimization, profitability, and innovation within the procurement process. Standard Work Creation, Execution, and Continuous Improvement: Establish and improve standardized work processes to achieve the team's goals and objectives. Supplier Engagement: Execute Advita’s Preferred Supplier agreement framework for new business awards and work proactively to expand and enhance the supply base. Cost Management: Develop cost roadmaps and ensure their linkage to margin management, primarily through supply chain optimization strategies. Standardization and Complexity Management: Take the lead in managing standardization and working towards the reduction of complexities within the supply chain processes. Commodities Market Analysis: Regularly analyze and project opportunities and risks within the commodities market to assess current and future material costs and availability. Product & Technology Alignment: Work closely with suppliers to align product & technology roadmaps, ensuring that procurement is in tandem with technological advancements. Support and Collaboration: Assist and support other teams and employees as necessary, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual growth.
