This Band 5 role provides high quality, end-to-end recruitment support for substantive and fixed-term Consultants, SAS and Clinical Fellow post, including Royal College approvals, AAC (approved appointment committee) coordination, TRAC workflow, vacancy control processes (VCP), workforce data cleansing, and payroll alignment. This is a 1.0 WTE role providing support to all Associate Medical Directors Trust-wide.
A central purpose of this role is to proactively drive and sustain reductions in agency spend. The post-holder is expected not only to deliver immediate reductions, but also to embed practices that ensure the organisation continues to realise the long-term financial and operational benefits of consistently lowering agency reliance.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a motivated Medical Workforce Advisor to join our Medical Workforce Team and play a key role in supporting the recruitment, deployment and ongoing employment of doctors across the Trust. This is a varied and rewarding role, working closely with senior clinicians, managers, Postgraduate Medical Education colleagues and NHS England to ensure medical staffing processes are delivered effectively and efficiently.
To co-ordinate and administer the rotation of all medical staff joining the Trust. To prepare and issue all employment documents for new starter trainee doctors including appointment letters, work schedules and contracts of employment. Provide basic HR advice to all grades of doctors who join the Trust including Locally Employed Doctors

Job description Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate end-to-end recruitment for allocated Consultant, Specialist Grade, SAS, Resident Doctor, Clinical Fellow, Trust Grade and Locally Employed Doctor vacancies.
Work collaboratively with Medical Workforce colleagues to progress recruitment activity according to service priorities, vacancy risk and team capacity.
Draft, edit and quality assure job descriptions, person specifications, adverts and recruitment documentation in line with Trust standards, Royal College requirements and NHS Employment Check Standards.
Coordinate Royal College approval processes for Consultant and SAS job descriptions and monitor progress to completion.
Advise and support Associate Medical Directors, recruiting managers and clinical services on medical recruitment processes, documentation and timescales.
Manage allocated recruitment activity through TRAC, ensuring approvals, documentation, employment checks and candidate communications are accurate and complete.
Monitor recruitment activity, identify delays or barriers and coordinate their resolution, escalating risks where appropriate.
Ensure vacancy-control submissions contain accurate establishment, funding, position number, cost-centre and vacancy information.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification Essential
Educated to A-level/NVQ$ or equivalent experience in HR, recruitment or administration. oRelevant experience in HR, recruitment, workforce administration or a related field
Desirable
Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development HR, Business Administration or related qualification.
Knowledge and Experience Essential
Experience delivering recruitment administration within the NHS or another large, complex organisation Experience managing end-to-end recruitment workflows
Desirable
Experience working in Medical Workforce or medical recruitment Understanding of Consultants, SAS and Clinical Fellows recruitment pathways and Royal College processes
Skills and Competencies Essential
Excellent administrative skills, and high attention to detail. Analytical ability to identify data discrepancies and produce reports.

Ability to deliver training on recruitment systems and processes. Experience working with senior stakeholders
