About this role
The CTO oversees the technology, and technology teams across all of Catena Media’s portfolio segments, ensuring alignment between Catena Media’s technological vision and strategy and the primary business goals and priorities. The CTO is the executor and visionary force behind the technical solution underlying Catena Media’s offering and is the overarching owner of all architectural decisions.
The CTO reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the executive team.
YOUR CHALLENGE:
• Set the overarching technology and data strategy and vision of Catena Media.
• Be a true business partner by ensuring that the leadership team in Catena Media has a thorough understanding of technological opportunities and possible impact on business decisions.
• Lead the definition of a cohesive roadmap across the entire technology landscape – from IT governance and operating model to target tech stack, infrastructure, and architecture.
• Approve investment plans and priorities per each technology team, ensuring adherence to the overarching strategy and agreed targets for each business unit.
• Drive technology teams towards increased simplicity and agility through the adoption of best-in-class development practices – e.g. continuous integration and automated deployment.
• Lead team to create solutions that address/incorporate future architectural changes and designs for each business unit.
• Be hands-on to actively coach teams to solve complex problems with regards to technology.
• Be the technology champion to the rest of the business through the management team.
• Serve as a leader and change agent across the company as it transitions to a product-based and agile, squad-led operating model.
• Ensure an efficient and coordinated approach to Catena Media’s initiatives that impact or utilize technology.
• Proactively evaluate system technology for use in the value chain and balance buy vs. build in alignment with overall tech strategy.
• Ensure sufficient standardization on developer tools & services, operations, and physical and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage overall tech budgets.
• Member of the Catena Media Tech Committee.

· Take ownership of recruitment and selection for your team by working closely with HRBPs and TA teams.
· Enable team and individual growth from the induction stage to ongoing learning and development.
TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:
• Domain expertise – technology and data.
• Experience of managing a mid-sized global tech organization.
• Good understanding of product and project management and their interconnections with technology.
• Seasoned technical leader with deep insight into the newest technologies and trends in affiliate marketing and/or digital marketing.
• Strategic and commercial acumen to challenge, translate, and drive decisions across Catena Media. The vision and market connectivity to bring the “outside in” perspective.
• Curious and future-oriented, interested in technology and trends, and excited about trying new solutions.
• Can make architecture decisions at a team and product level across applications and data.
• Be able to guide architectural decisions on back and front-end solutions with multiple types of architecture.
• Familiar with DevOps principles and cloud-native solutions.
• Experience in agile development with specific solution architect (or similar) experience preferred.
