Job Description:
Performs a variety of technical and analytical functions related to trade financing and servicing. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and resolving trade documents that require specialized, sensitive, and/or exception handling; evaluating acceptances, issuances, amendments, and negotiations for import/export, standby and government letters of credit and bankers acceptances; reviewing, analyzing and negotiating letters of credit documents; issuing commercial and stand-by letters of credit, amendments, transfers and requests to pay; approving payments, collections and reimbursements. Works under established operating procedures and precedents. Requires a full working knowledge of trade finance operations and documentation.
Line of Business Description: The role is part of the Global Credit Operations. Responsible for the fulfillment, servicing and protection of credit offerings for business banking, Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM), commercial and corporate clients as well as leasing and trade products. The position will work under established operating procedures and precedents.
Responsibilities:
Processes transactions related to various Trade Finance products and performs support and servicing functions, such as problem resolution and exception handling for clients and business partnersCommunicates complex data and information clearly and effectively to clients and business partnersPerforms a variety of technical and analytical functions related to trade financing and servicing including researching, analyzing, auditing, tracing, and resolving Trade Finance documents that require specialized, sensitive, or exception handlingManages risk by ensuring transactions are handled efficiently and proactively, identifying and escalating potential risksDevelops capabilities and competencies through self-study or participation in trainings on system enhancementsEvaluates issuances, amendments, and negotiations for export letter of credit payment requestsProvides client servicing for both Export Letter of Credit clientsProvides client servicing and operational support for extended processing teams/sitesPrepares and reconciling daily and monthly reports; accurate capturing of production volumes.Works under established operating procedures and precedents. Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of financial services/ financial products experienceDemonstrated excellent communication both written and oralMust have prior/current Client servicing experiencingProficient with Microsoft Suite; Word, Excel , and PowerPointAbility to work in a team environment as well as independently with little supervisionProficient active listening skills Desired Skills and Experience
Trade finance experienceExperience with letters of credit and familiarity with UCP 600Knowledge of trade finance operations and documentation highly desired. Skills:
