The role The Head: Tender Hub leads a centralised Group Tender Hub overseeing tender and RFx activity across the Sanlam and Santam Group. The role drives consistent, compliant and audit-ready tender execution, while improving prioritisation, governance, stakeholder alignment and value delivery across the business. What will make you successful in this role? Lead the Group Tender Hub as the central channel for tender and RFx governance and execution. Oversee tender intake, triage and prioritisation across business units and clusters. Ensure end-to-end tender execution is consistent, transparent and audit-ready. Maintain strong governance, compliance and risk controls across the tender lifecycle. Partner with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to align strategy and resolve escalations. Deliver performance reporting, insights and value tracking across the tender portfolio. Improve tender frameworks, SOPs and workflows to support scale and consistency. Lead and develop a high-performing Tender Hub team. Qualification and experience Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Law, Business, Commerce or Supply Chain/Procurement; MCIPS preferred. 15+ years’ procurement experience, including senior leadership in complex organisations. Deep experience in tender/RFx management, governance, compliance and audit-ready execution. Strong understanding of procurement risk, legal and regulatory frameworks. Proven executive stakeholder management, influencing and reporting capability. Skills Strategic leadership in procurement and tender environments. End-to-end tender and RFx management.
