About this role
This role helps students learn the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a temporary position that is responsible for instructing classes to youth in place of a full-time teacher due to their absence. This position may be responsible for teaching more than one class as needed. This position works under the direction of a administrators. The person in this role should have a basic understanding in teaching, learning, and working with youth. The work of the person in this role helps youth and young adults deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven. This is an entry level position.
• A substitute teacher works in partnership with a program administrator to learn the gospel • Effectively facilitates lessons prepared by the absent full-time teacher • Assists students to fulfill their role in the learning process • Teach in the Savior’s Way by focusing on Jesus Christ, loving those you teach, teaching by the Spirit, teaching the Doctrine, and inviting diligent learning. • Participates in training opportunities as directed by Administration. • Be available as called upon by the school to report for Substitute Teacher duties as needed.
• At least a High School Diploma and/or Tertiary education preferred. • Good English language communication skills both written and verbal. • Ability to manage a classroom effectively. • Works well with youth. • Posess and demonstrates integrity at all times • Able to abide by all work and SAI policies. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. • Exhibits humility, meekness, and purposeful collaboration with colleagues and peers. • Aligns with the direction and policies of the Church Board of Education and S&I leadership. • Lives the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple standards. • Current Police Clearance/Report • Only applicants that have legal rights to work in Kiribati should apply. careers.ChurchofJesusChrist.org: Job ID 377714 This job posting may close at any time without prior notice
