The Team

We are seeking an Account Manager, Land Acquisitions to join American Tower’s U.S. Tower division’s Acquisition team within our Corporate Development Organization. The Acquisition team fuels revenue and growth through analysis and acquisition of new and innovative assets. Day to day you will negotiate business terms for ground leases and perform acquisition due diligence tasks. As an Account Manager, you will partner cross-functionally to deliver to senior management account updates and metric reporting.

What You Can Offer Us

• Originate and negotiate real estate transactions within the lease portfolio to optimize existing rights. • Project manage and close a high volume of transactions each year, several of which in excess of $1 million in value. • Achieve quarterly targets relative to originations and closings within designated cycle times. • Prepare, and present to landowners, written and verbal presentations. • Provide to management ongoing communication and reports on the status of negotiations for expirations and renewals, revenue stream purchases, and easement land purchases. • Review proposed lease language and associated materials to identify issues; partner with appropriate functional teams, including Legal Operations, to resolve. • Manage administrative elements of closing transactions, including executing legal documents. • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Finance preferred. • Legal, structured settlement, business development, sales, and/or real estate experience preferred. • Approximately 25% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities. • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively. • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results. • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to use Excel, Word, and Salesforce; ability to understand financials models and concepts.
