Key responsibilities 
 Asset Reliability Strategy

• Develop and implement site reliability strategies aligned with business objectives. • Establish asset criticality assessments and risk-based maintenance programs. • Define long-term asset lifecycle and replacement plans. • Support capital projects with Design for Reliability (DfR) and Design for Maintainability (DfM) principles. • Lead Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies for critical equipment. Reliability Improvement Programs

• Lead initiatives to improve equipment uptime, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and OEE. • Identify chronic equipment losses and implement corrective actions. • Drive maintenance optimization projects to reduce reactive maintenance. • Develop reliability standards and best practices across manufacturing assets. • Benchmark plant performance against industry standards.

Predictive and Preventive Maintenance

• Develop and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs. • Implement predictive maintenance technologies including

• Vibration Analysis • Infrared Thermography • Oil Analysis • Ultrasonic Testing • Motor Circuit Analysis

• Analyze condition monitoring data and recommend interventions before failures occur. • Continuously review PM effectiveness and optimize maintenance frequencies. Root Cause Failure Analysis

• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for major equipment failures. • Utilize methodologies such as

• RCA • FMEA • FMECA • Fishbone Analysis • DMAIC • Weibull Analysis

• Develop and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Ensure lessons learned are documented and implemented plant-wide.

CMMS and Asset Management

• Maintain asset hierarchy and master data integrity within SAP PM/CMMS. • Analyze maintenance history and work order data. • Develop reliability dashboards and KPIs. • Improve maintenance planning and scheduling processes. • Support spare parts optimization and critical spares management.

Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring

• Monitor and report key reliability metrics including

• OEE • MTBF • MTTR • PM Compliance • Planned vs. Unplanned Maintenance • Maintenance Cost per Unit

• Identify trends and improvement opportunities through statistical analysis. • Present reliability performance reports to site leadership. Food Safety, Quality and Compliance

• Ensure reliability programs support GMP, HACCP, SQF, BRC, and food safety requirements. • Participate in food safety and quality audits. • Ensure maintenance activities comply with regulatory and site standards. • Support risk assessments related to equipment and process reliability.

Other Responsibilities may include 
 Capital Projects and New Equipment

• Participate in equipment selection and factory acceptance testing (FAT). • Review designs to ensure reliability and maintainability. • Support commissioning, startup, and performance validation. • Establish maintenance strategies and spare parts requirements for new assets. • Develop asset care plans before project handover. • Continuous Improvement • Lead Lean Manufacturing and TPM reliability initiatives. • Eliminate recurring failures and maintenance waste. • Support operational excellence programs. • Facilitate cross-functional improvement workshops. Coaching and Technical Leadership

• Act as the site's reliability subject matter expert. • Train maintenance technicians, supervisors, and planners on reliability tools and methodologies. • Mentor junior engineers and reliability personnel. • Build reliability capability across maintenance and operations teams. • Promote a proactive maintenance culture.

Qualifications and skills 

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline • 5+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, asset care, or manufacturing engineering roles, preferably in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Reliability Engineering principles • Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies and reliability improvement programs that reduce downtime and improve equipment performance. • Experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP PM, including maintenance planning, scheduling, and performance tracking. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and data-driven decision-making. • Excellent leadership and change management capabilities, with the ability to drive a proactive maintenance culture and influence cross-functional teams. • Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging frontline teams and senior leadership. • Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives, establish KPIs, and improve equipment reliability, availability, and utilization • Potential and aspiration to progress into a Maintenance Manager role, with the ability to lead teams, manage budgets, develop people, and contribute to long-term maintenance strategy
