Job Title: Contents CleanerPay: $20-22/hourLocation: Site-to-site Job DescriptionThe contents cleaner plays a key role in restoring buildings and personal property that have been damaged by water, fire, smoke, or other incidents. You will meet at the shop each day, then travel with the team to job sites where you clean, pack, and document customer contents while helping return properties to a safe and orderly condition. This position combines work in the shop and in the field, with most of your time spent at customer locations performing hands-on cleaning and restoration tasks.Responsibilities

• Meet at the shop daily, prepare for the day’s work, and travel with the team to assigned job sites. • Support the restoration division by cleaning and restoring property and structures damaged by water, fire, and smoke. • Perform detailed content cleaning labor, including wiping, washing, and treating items affected by damage. • Carefully pack, label, and organize customer contents to ensure proper handling and tracking. • Complete thorough site cleanup at each job, including debris removal and general cleaning of affected areas. • Maintain accurate and detailed job records, including logs of cleaned contents and tasks completed. • Log and track client contents throughout the cleaning and restoration process. • Perform fire cleaning tasks, such as removing soot, smoke residue, and related damage from structures and contents. • Conduct post-construction cleaning, ensuring newly finished areas are clean, safe, and ready for use. • Assist with loading the van each day, ensuring all required equipment, tools, and cleaning products are on board. • Use general labor skills to support carpentry, remediation, construction, and demolition activities as needed. • Provide positive, courteous customer service at job sites, answering basic questions and maintaining a professional demeanor. • Communicate effectively with team members and customers, both verbally and in writing, to support smooth job execution. • Follow work orders, instructions, and timelines to complete tasks on schedule and meet project deadlines. • Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality to support reliable team operations. • Adhere to safety procedures while working in damaged or challenging environments, including flooded buildings and fire-affected areas. • Maintain a clean driving record when operating company vehicles after hire, and handle company property responsibly. Essential Skills

• 0–6+ months of experience in janitorial work, cleaning, or general labor. • At least 6+ months of customer service experience or experience in a similar role interacting with customers. • Ability to clearly demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written. • Strong attention to detail when cleaning, packing, and documenting customer contents. • Positive, service-oriented attitude when working with customers and team members. • Ability to follow work orders and instructions and consistently meet deadlines. • Reliable and consistent attendance, with a strong track record of punctuality. • Ability and willingness to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and working in construction or remediation settings. • Capability to work in flooded buildings, crawl spaces, and fire-damaged areas while following safety guidelines. • Eligibility for a clean driving record upon hire to meet company vehicle use requirements. • Experience in general labor, construction, or demolition is beneficial. • Experience in remediation, restoration, or cleaning environments is an advantage. • Familiarity with carpentry or construction-related tasks is helpful. • Ability to learn and adapt to new cleaning methods and restoration processes. • Interest in developing skills through a structured training program designed to support faster advancement and raises. • Motivation to grow into roles such as case manager or project manager over time. • Comfort working in both shop and field settings, transitioning between tasks and locations during the workday. The role may involve exposure to dirt, debris, moisture, smoke residue, and construction dust, and you follow safety procedures appropriate to each site. Over time, the position will require participation in an on-call rotation, providing flexibility to respond to urgent restoration needs outside standard hours. The environment is hands-on, physically active, and team-oriented, with a focus on thorough cleaning, careful handling of customer property, and professional presentation at all times. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
