Job Title: Electrician Job DescriptionThis role supports a recreation center remodel project, overseeing and performing electrical work on a construction site. The Electrician Foreman works independently after receiving instructions, completing tasks such as light fixture installation, wire pulling, and conduit bending to support the new structure’s electrical systems.Responsibilities
• Interpret project instructions and work independently to complete assigned electrical tasks on the recreation center remodel. • Install light fixtures and related electrical components in accordance with project plans and safety standards. • Pull wire for new and existing circuits, ensuring proper routing, labeling, and organization. • Measure, bend, and install conduit to support electrical wiring throughout the new structure. • Assist in building conduit systems for the new construction, including layout, assembly, and secure installation. • Follow all site safety procedures and use appropriate fall protection and equipment when working at heights. • Operate boom lifts and other approved equipment safely and efficiently as required by the project. • Coordinate with other trades and team members to ensure electrical work aligns with overall construction timelines. • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and materials are used and stored properly. • Identify potential issues in electrical layouts or installations and communicate them promptly to project leadership. Essential Skills
• Journeyman-level equivalent electrical experience with a minimum of 6–8 years in the trade. • Ability to work independently after receiving instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision. • Strong proficiency in light fixture installation and general electrical installation work. • Hands-on experience with wire pulling for new construction and remodel projects. • Advanced skill in conduit bending, including measuring, cutting, and installing conduit. • Solid understanding of electrical construction practices and safety requirements. • Apprentice TDLR qualification. • Boom lift certification for safe operation of aerial equipment. • Knowledge and practical use of fall protection equipment and procedures on construction sites. • Experience working on commercial remodel projects, particularly recreation or similar facilities. • Ability to read and follow basic electrical plans and instructions. • Strong attention to detail to ensure clean, accurate, and code-compliant installations. • Reliable work habits with a focus on safety, quality, and meeting project deadlines. • Effective communication skills to coordinate tasks with other team members and trades. • Journeyman license is not required but related experience at apprentice to journeyman level is highly valued. You will work primarily on-site, using tools and equipment typical for electrical construction, including conduit benders, wire pulling tools, and boom lifts. The environment involves physical work, working at heights with appropriate fall protection, and adherence to all construction safety protocols. Work is performed in and around a partially finished structure, with exposure to typical construction conditions such as noise, dust, and varying weather. Appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required at all times. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
