Job Title: 3rd Shift Multi-Craft Maintenance TechnicianShift/Pay/Additional Information:
• Shift: 3rd Shift - 11p to 730a • Pay: $30.00/hr. - $40.00/hr. (Shift Premium included in the pay) • Candidates should expect to work 6 days a week; as they are very busy. • 1.5 x after 40 hours • The facility has a long-standing history and has recently undergone significant modernization, with over $50 million invested since 2021 to upgrade equipment and infrastructure. Job DescriptionThis role focuses on performing multi-craft industrial maintenance on production lines and material handling equipment in a steel processing facility. The technician maintains and repairs pickle lines, slitting lines, conveyors, packaging systems, overhead cranes, forklifts, yard trucks, and various auxiliary equipment. The position requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including work up to 480V three-phase, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pickle lines, three slitting lines, conveyors, packaging lines, overhead cranes, and related production equipment. • Carry out maintenance and repair work on forklifts, yard trucks, and various other material handling and facility equipment. • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues up to 480V single and three-phase power, ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment. • Troubleshoot electrical components including motors, proximity switches, limit switches, sensors, drives, motor controls, push button switches, toggle switches, and pressure switches. • Perform mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulics, sensors, valves, bearings, and swap motors, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs. • Complete wiring tasks for control panels and related electrical systems in accordance with applicable standards and best practices. • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints to guide maintenance, repair, and installation activities. • Conduct industrial maintenance and repair tasks with a focus on minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability. • Perform welding and basic fabrication as needed to support equipment repair and maintenance. • Execute preventive maintenance programs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to extend equipment life and prevent failures. • Document maintenance activities accurately and communicate equipment status and repair needs to appropriate stakeholders. • Work collaboratively with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and respond to equipment breakdowns. • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines while working with high-voltage electrical systems, hydraulics, and heavy industrial machinery. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
