Job Title: Production Supervisor – All ShiftsJob DescriptionThe Production Supervisor oversees daily bakery production operations across all shifts, ensuring that safety, cleanliness, product quality, and food safety standards are consistently met. This role leads and supports production employees on the floor, works hands-on to resolve issues in real time, and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. The Production Supervisor also plays a key role in training, motivating, and developing team members for long-term success while meeting or exceeding daily production goals. Responsibilities • Supervise and support production employees during assigned shifts, providing clear direction and hands-on leadership. • Ensure daily production goals are achieved while maintaining high standards of product quality and food safety. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized bakery environment that complies with all food safety and sanitation regulations. • Work side-by-side with team members on the production floor to identify and resolve operational issues as they arise. • Train, coach, and mentor team members to build skills, improve performance, and support long-term growth. • Promote a people-first culture by fostering open communication, teamwork, and mutual respect among employees. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and product consistency. • Monitor high-speed production lines and adjust workflows or resources to optimize throughput and minimize downtime. • Support and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other safety protocols throughout the facility. • Collaborate with other departments and shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent production performance. • Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts as needed to support operational requirements. Essential Skills • 2–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment. • Proven experience in production supervision or production management within a high-speed production setting. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop a diverse production team. • Solid understanding of continuous improvement principles and the ability to apply them in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and remain calm and effective under pressure. • Good communication skills with a people-first approach to managing and supporting employees. • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards. • Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as needed to meet operational demands. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Leadership experience specifically in food manufacturing is preferred. • Spanish language skills are a plus and can enhance communication with team members. • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is advantageous. • Experience working in a warm, bakery-style production environment is beneficial. • Comfort working with and overseeing high-speed production equipment. • Ability to promote and support continuous improvement culture across the facility. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a bakery production facility characterized by a warm environment and active, hands-on work on the production floor. Supervisors may work any of three shifts: 1st shift runs 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; 2nd shift runs 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 3rd shift runs 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The role requires adherence to GMP standards, including wearing a hair net, beard net as applicable, smock, steel-toe footwear, and safety glasses. The environment is fast-paced, focused on high-speed production lines, and emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and consistent product quality. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Waukesha, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
