Job Title: Warehouse Associate - $21/hr Job DescriptionThis role is a hands-on warehouse position within a metal processing and distribution facility, focused on shipping, receiving, packaging parts, assembling orders, and supporting production as needed. • Handle daily shipping and receiving activities, including unloading, loading, and staging materials and finished goods. • Package parts accurately and securely to meet quality standards and customer requirements. • Assemble orders according to work instructions, pick lists, or WMS/SAP system guidance. • Float to the production line to support general production tasks and assist wherever workload demands. • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and hand tools when trained and authorized. • Perform general labor duties including material handling, loading, and organizing products in the warehouse. • Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records and assist with inventory control activities. • Follow established procedures for shipping and receiving to ensure timely and accurate order processing. • Work collaboratively with night shift team members to meet production and shipping schedules. • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards, following all safety guidelines and best practices. Essential Skills
• Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments. • Comfort performing general labor tasks such as loading, packaging, and material handling. • Basic familiarity with shipping and receiving processes. • Ability to work overnight hours and maintain reliability and punctuality. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a steel fabrication facility that is clean, well lit, and focused on safe, efficient operations. The building is not climate controlled, so temperatures will reflect seasonal conditions. The work is physically active, involving standing for the entire shift and regularly lifting up to 50 pounds while handling steel and other materials. Warehouse technologies such as WMS, SAP, RF scanners, forklifts, cranes, and hand tools are commonly used to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and production activities. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
