Production Control Specialist - Dekalb, IL8AM-4:30PM MONDAY-FRIDAY$20-$24/hrJob DescriptionThe Production Control Specialist consolidates production sheets into the inventory system and Excel, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports production control activities. This role operates computer terminals, scans work orders, and tracks end-of-line schedules while actively promoting a safe, accident-free workplace in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Responsibilities

• Consolidate production sheets into the inventory system and Excel to ensure accurate and timely inventory records. • Operate computer terminals and perform data entry to update production and inventory information. • Maintain end-of-line (EOL) schedules by tracking completed parts and skids. • Scan work orders and ensure all documentation is correctly captured and stored. • Communicate with production control regarding use of overrun and re-blast materials using clear written and verbal communication. • Perform cycle counts and support ongoing inventory control activities in a production environment. • Use pallet jacks as needed to move materials and products safely within the facility. • Promote and maintain a safe, accident-free workplace by following all safety policies and procedures. • Work effectively in a self-directed, fast-paced professional environment while maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude. • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support efficient production and inventory processes. Essential Skills

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • Inventory experience in a production environment. • Ability to use Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting. • High proficiency with computer skills, including email and MS Office. • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to operate computer terminals and related systems. • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with production control and other teams. • Ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced professional environment. • Consistently maintain an upbeat and positive attitude. • Commitment to promoting a safe and accident-free workplace. • Ability to perform cycle counting and basic inventory control tasks. • Capability to use a pallet jack safely in a production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Production reporting experience is a nice-to-have qualification. • Interest in learning machine operating, including punch press, brake press, or CNC equipment. • Willingness to be cross-trained on different equipment throughout the facility. • Desire to grow into lead, supervisory, or management roles over time. Work may occasionally take place in outside weather conditions and can involve exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually loud and can occasionally be very loud, so ear protection is required. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in a production facility that uses pallet jacks, various production machinery, and computer-based systems for data entry and inventory control. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dekalb, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
