Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Production Associate with experience in shipping and receiving. The ideal candidate will be flexible, willing to learn different roles, and capable of working in various functions within the production and shipping/receiving teams. Responsibilities • Work in shipping/receiving or on the production team, being flexible to learn and perform different roles. • Help assemble adhesives and package orders for customers. • Cut rolls of fireproof tape to the required size. • Measure the correct milliliter amount of hardener and inject it into glue products. • Repackage glue, caulk, adhesives, and other materials. • Maintain attention to detail and accurately measure and weigh materials. • Use a tape measure and scale effectively. • Ensure punctuality and attendance are maintained. • Handle materials and perform general labor tasks. • Pick and pack items up to 50 lbs. • Adhere to the no cell phone policy during working hours. Essential Skills • 1-2 years of shipping/receiving experience. • 6 months of packaging experience, including operating wrapping equipment. • Ability to measure and weigh accurately, including decimal calculations. • Proficiency in basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. • Experience with UPS or Ship Gear package tracking systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Detailed oriented and able to compare numbers effectively. • Good attitude and ability to read and write proficiently. • Ability to use hand tools and perform assembly line tasks. Work EnvironmentThe company is a manufacturing and distribution firm specializing in high-temperature materials and adhesives for electrical, structural, and industrial use up to 4000°F. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm, and Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, with a lunch break from 12:15 pm to 1 pm. The dress code is business casual. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
