Our Technical Operations team includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams who help ensure our fleet is well maintained and ready to get our customers to their destinations. As a Technical Operations intern, you’ll work side-by-side with our professionals, solve real business challenges, and gain hands-on experience in one of our many technical disciplines. Internships are paid, and course credit hours may be considered depending on the university’s guidelines. Technical Operations interns may be placed across teams such as Supply Chain Insights, Inventory Management & Strategy, Engine Maintenance Management and Strategy, Supplier Strategy & Performance, Inventory Forecasting and Performance, Master Data, Logistics Services, and more. Depending on the assignment, interns may be located in Chicago, IL, or San Francisco, CA Accepting applications from September 1, 2026, through September 25, 2026 Qualifications What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Must be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, AI/Machine Learning or another related field

• Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours in core degree coursework

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

• Individual should be a rising junior (at minimum) when the internship begins

• Must be available for 10-12 weeks during the summer 2027

• Work-related travel may be required; individuals must be able to travel without any restrictions

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US for an employer without sponsorship now or at any point in the future. What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

• Comfortable with SQL, Python, Power BI, and large datasets

• Knowledge of Supply Chain Concepts(calculating Safety Stock value, network design, etc.)

• Warehouse experience, 2PL work/intern experience

• Root cause analysis

• Project and change management • Demonstrated understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and the ability to leverage AI effectively to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Applies critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies related to responsible AI use, data privacy, and security.

The starting rate for this role is $20.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
