*Job Summary*
Grit Security is hiring *Security Guards* for various sites across the Lower Mainland. We are looking for reliable and professional individuals who can maintain a safe and secure environment.
*Duties*
* Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to deter theft and vandalism. * Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure continuous site security. * Control access to the premises by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. * Respond swiftly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary. * Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting and record-keeping purposes. * Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security risks and implementing preventative measures. * Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company standards.
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols to handle various security situations effectively. * Experience with CCTV monitoring systems and surveillance technology to observe multiple areas simultaneously. * Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail to identify suspicious behavior or security vulnerabilities. * Ability to respond calmly and decisively during emergencies or high-pressure situations. * Good communication skills for clear reporting, documentation, and interaction with team members or emergency personnel. * Physical stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts. * A proactive attitude with a commitment to loss prevention and maintaining a secure environment.
*Valid* *BC Security Worker Licence / Basic Security Training (BST) is required*.
*Advanced Security Training (AST) is considered an asset*.

Pay: $18.75-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
