*Glowinsky Law* is currently seeking a *Legal Assistant* with approximately 1-3 years of experience in Plaintiff personal injury law (tort claims, motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, accident benefits, falls, long-term disability benefits denials, etc.).
*Attributes of Candidate:*
* A strong client-service approach * Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills; and a strong attention to detail * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to be resourceful, organized, and work with minimal instruction or supervision * The ability to work within tight timelines to meet deadlines while reassessing priorities as needed * Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) when dealing with lawyers, clients, staff, and third parties * Being proactive and taking initiative in anticipation of the next steps on an assigned task
*Qualifications:*
* Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk course * A minimum of one year experience in civil litigation * In-depth understanding of personal injury and legal terminology * Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure * Computer and typing skills (55 wpm or higher); and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Pro, digital dictation, etc. * Experience working with PCLaw, Primafact, ACL, Tracument, Filevine, etc. is an asset
*Responsibilities:*
* Handling all administrative duties, including email and calendar management, coordinating meetings, scanning and circulating mail, etc. * Under professional legal supervision, preparing legal documents and correspondence according to precedents and/or instructions * Ensuring all physical and electronic filing is organized and up to date on a regular basis * Occasional transcribing digital dictation * Delegating tasks to, and coordinating with, other administrative departments * Providing backup coverage in the absence of other team members * Other duties, as assigned
