*Qualifications: 1. Possess high school diploma.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have ability to work with limited supervision.
• Have ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Be able to work with individuals with disabilities.
• Have the ability to communicate clearly with students, faculty, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Possess ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
Reports to: Building Principal Job Description: This individual will ride to school in the morning (two hours) and ride home in the afternoon (two hours) with a special needs child monitoring student behavior and supporting student supervision while riding in a school division vehicle. The aide works closely with transportation driver and school personnel to ensure student arrives safely and is transported in accordance with division policies and procedures. Salary: $25 per hour (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon) Performance Responsibilities:
• Ride to and from school with a special needs student.
• Monitor behavior and demeanor of student.
• Attend to basic needs of student during transportation.
• Assist with implementing student behavior plans as directed.
• Report any issues or problems occurring during transportation to the principal.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
