DEPLOYABLE CONTRACTED LICENSED SUBSTITUTE SPECIAL EDUCATION- any special education assignment, grades PK-12
Additional Information: Deployable Contract Licensed Substitutes are assigned each morning by the district substitute team based on the district's greatest needs and must be willing to work in any school, grade level, content area, or Special Education, assignments will vary and flexibility is essential. The position provides an eight-hour workday on the 174-day student calendar, employee-only Kaiser medical insurance at no cost, sick and emergency leave, professional development opportunities, and eligibility for substitute incentives. This position requires dependable, adaptable individuals who are committed to supporting students and staff wherever the need is greatest. Job Description: Applicants should be able to establish a positive classroom climate, possess excellent classroom management skills, and be able to continue the established curriculum in a variety of classrooms. Candidates should possess the skills and confidence to access digital tools and resources should the need arise. The District offers tuition reimbursement and health benefits (in the year following a minimum number of substitute days), professional development opportunities, and a work incentive each time period for substituting a minimum number of days. Necessary Qualifications: Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a valid Oregon teaching license issued by TSPC. A valid teaching license issued by TSPC will allow a substitute applicant to substitute in all grade levels and subject areas. Note: If you are seeking sponsorship for a Restricted Substitute Teaching License (have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and do not hold a teaching license), in the licensure section of the application, you may state: "I am seeking sponsorship for the Restricted Substitute license." References will need to be completed prior to being selected for an interview. Letters of recommendation and unofficial transcripts are optional for the licensed substitute application. (Letters and transcripts will be requested if you express interest in other licensed positions.) There is no set time frame as to when you may be contacted for a screening interview; HR will be screening substitute applications throughout this posting timeline.
