Classification: Administrative/Professional Exemption Status/Test: Exempt/Administrative Job Grade: 6 Department: Information Technology Reports To: Department Director Job Goal: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions by leveraging expertise in C#, React TypeScript, microservices architecture, containerization, database management, cloud technologies, and data engineering. Drive the architecture and delivery of robust APIs, backend systems, and modern frontend applications that support business objectives, improve system reliability, and enable seamless user experiences while adhering to engineering best practices and technical standards. Qualifications: Education
• Bachelor's degree within a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology, preferred
Experience:
• 7 years of professional experience in full stack development with C#/.NET and React TypeScript
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, including design patterns, service decomposition, and inter-service communication
• Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including RDS and Lambda
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience leading cloud migration projects and strategies
• Experience with complex data migration methodologies and tools
• Strong grasp of security principles including OWASP guidelines, secure coding practices, and data protection
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
Special Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL/SQL Server and relational database design
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline development
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills in distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with additional AWS services (S3, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with message queuing systems (SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Strong proficiency in React TypeScript, including component design, state management, and API integration

Major Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# and .NET frameworks within a microservices architecture
• Architect and implement scalable microservices solutions with proper service boundaries and communication patterns
• Build and optimize database solutions using SnowFlake, MongoDB, and AWS RDS
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes
• Develop serverless functions using AWS Lambda for scalable backend operations and integrate with React TypeScript frontends
• Design and implement ETL pipelines for data processing and transformation
• Lead cloud migration initiatives, transitioning legacy systems to modern cloud infrastructure
• Plan and execute complex data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime
• Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, API security, and container security
• Optimize database queries and API performance for high-traffic, distributed applications
• Design, develop, and maintain React TypeScript frontends, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs
