QualificationsOne year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-05) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Examining, researching, and reconciling financial accounts, general ledgers, travel or payroll records to identify discrepancies, resolve errors, or ensure compliance with financial accounting regulations. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Major DutiesServes as a Work Leader by identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks to team members in accordance with established workflow, and assures timely accomplishment of assigned workload.Reviews documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to Accounts Payable policy and procedures.Researches Accounts Payable data and performs balancing and reconciling of accounts.Verifies the accuracy, completeness, and validity of a wide variety of Accounts Payable documents including: contracts; invoices; purchase orders; obligations.Provides individual and team training in specific tasks and job techniques, and provides on-the-job training in accordance with policies and procedures.
