Job SummaryYou will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/APPSW) in the FST ENGINEERING DIV, FST DEPT of Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (Cecil Commerce Center).
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating experience analyzing, managing, or performing work necessary to plan, design, develop, acquire, document, test, implement, integrate, maintain, or modify systems for solving problems or accomplishing work processes by using information technology (IT) systems such as computers, servers, routers, etc. 2) Demonstrating knowledge of NAVAIR (Naval Air Systems Command) Standard IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) Viewer (NSIV) software. Major DutiesYou will independently determine the feasibility of installing modifications; and schedule implementation to ensure continuity of operations.You will monitor performance data and modifying systems tuning parameters to optimize overall systems performance and correct and prevent problems with the systems environment.You will participate in reviewing current and proposed IT legislation, directives, regulations, and guidance, make recommendations on proper systems design, security and performance areas, and determine the impact of changes to existing systems.You will evaluate and maintain metrics of damaged Support Equipment (i.e. PEMA) for corrupt software and rebuild/repair as required.
