Job SummaryYou will serve as an Engineering Technician in the ALRE Test Support Branch (BL42110), Test Division, Prototype, Manufacturing & Test Dept, SE & ALRE Group of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Possess required experience performing duties in accordance with JQR requirements. Demonstrates experience supporting the operation, testing, and technical execution of AAG, EMALS, JCTS, catapults, or closely related launch and recovery systems under engineering oversight. 2) Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in supporting pre-operational, operational, and post-operational activities within the TEST Department, including equipment inspection, mechanical system checks, readiness verification, pressure vessel checks, identification of safety concerns, and execution of shutdown actions under engineer oversight. 3) Demonstrates experience supporting the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of legacy, AAG, and EMALS equipment, including identifying deficiencies, replacing or repairing components, and restoring systems to operational condition in accordance with engineering oversight. 4) Communicated effectively with engineers, equipment specialists, and coworkers to relay operational information, clarify technical requirements, report equipment status, report job status and hours, and support safe and efficient completion of TEST Department activities. Major DutiesYou will review applicable engineering reports, test plans, drawings, and schematics concerning isolated and repetitive system failures, prototype equipment, and technical specificationsYou will conduct analytical and diagnostic troubleshooting on complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic ALRE/SE systems during test operations or prototype evaluationsYou will set up, operate, and maintain specialized diagnostic equipment and instrumentation required to capture engineering data during ALRE operations.You will monitor and coordinate the resolution of engineering anomalies, troubleshooting efforts, and technical modifications within the assigned operational area
