Job Summary***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the Public Works Branch (PWB), General Facilities (GF) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER. QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing or improving upon operating concepts and methods in order to optimize the provision of Public Works using industrial strategic business practices, AND consulting on matters pertaining to engineering analysis, assessment and design, project and program management, real property management and accountability, US, and Host Nation funded construction, building assignment AND recommending staff for awards, disciplinary actions, training and development.. Major DutiesYou will plan, direct, control and coordinate all functions of the Public Works Branch.You will develop new operating concepts and methods in order to meet the organization's goals and objectives.You will evaluate future mission requirement/change; current obligations, past deficiencies to develop projections for Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) and Program Review (PR), i.e. budget development and requirements.You will provide active guidance and direction on a day-to-day basis to the supervisors of Engineering Section, Planning Section and Real Estate Section in all phases of work managed by PWB.You will ensure equity of standards and ratings within PWB Makes final decisions on any work problems or disputes between sections/units.
