We would like to get in touch with: - Veterinarians with a recognized European veterinary qualification. - Veterinary nurses/technicians with a recognized qualification that is eligible for recognition in the Netherlands. - Candidates holding an EU passport. - Candidates willing to relocate to the Netherlands and settle here for the long term. - Candidates motivated to learn the Dutch language. - Candidates willing to work shifts or weekend duties, depending on the specific role and practice. The Dutch language: start right away A good command of the Dutch language is important for working effectively and professionally in the Netherlands. As a veterinarian or veterinary technician, you will have daily contact with Dutch pet owners. You need to be able to explain an animal's condition, ask questions, provide instructions, and communicate pleasantly with clients and colleagues. Our advice: start learning Dutch as soon as you seriously consider working in the Netherlands. You do not need to master the language perfectly right away, but the motivation to learn it is essential. The sooner you start, the easier it will be to find your way in a Dutch veterinary practice and in daily life. Registration and recognition. To work as a veterinarian or veterinary technician in the Netherlands, your qualification must be recognized, and you must complete the required registration process via the CIBG (Diergeneeskunderegister Nederland).
