About this role
e are seeking a Molecular Biology & Protein Scientist to support DNA construct design/assembly, sample preparation for sequencing, DNA production & quantitation, mammalian cell culture & transfections, protein purification & quantitation, and automated liquid handling directly on a client site. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in biochemistry or a related field who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
DNA plasmid design & cloning, purification, quantitation & QCHigh throughput molecular biology operations, including PCR setup, ligation reactions, DNA purification using liquid handling automation.Nanopore sequencing: sample preparation, system operation, & data analysisMaintain mammalian cell lines using aseptic techniques and ensure consistent supply for twice-weekly transient transfection processes.Perform transient transfections and purify antibodies/proteins using automated equipment under supervision.Cell-free peptide expression using automated equipment under supervision.Accurately document experimental procedures and results in client-provided Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs).Analyze and summarize data upon training and contribute to troubleshooting and continuous improvement effortsLeadership Responsibilities:
Supports and monitors the performance of the team of employeesMay participate in new hire interviewsSupports the on-boarding process of new employeesDisseminate administrative communicationsDemonstrate and promote the company's visionEnsure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations Ensure coverage and performance for all shifts, and work duties Performs administrative tasks for team member growth and developmentAdeptly balance technical lab work with leadership responsibilitiesFoster morale and teamwork B.S. in Biochemistry or a related field.0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience.Proficiency in aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture.Basic understanding of molecular biology techniques.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:
