About this role

Purpose

The Finance Manager will lead the finance and accounting operations in Taiwan, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and Eurofins Group policies. This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, driving process standardization, and supporting business growth in a fast-paced, highly regulated laboratory services environment.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities:

Financial accounting and reporting

Oversee full set of accounts for all Taiwan entities, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.Prepare financial statements in accordance with Taiwan GAAP and Eurofins Group (IFRS-based) reporting requirementsManage reporting packages submission to regional headquarters within strict timelines

Statutory compliance and tax

Ensure full compliance with Taiwan tax laws (CIT, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing requirements, etc.), acting as a point of contact to local/tax authorities.Coordinate statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissionsLiaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and government authoritiesStay updated on regulatory changes impacting finance and accounting

Internal controls and Group compliance

Implement and maintain internal controls aligned with Group standardsSupport internal audits and ensure timely remediation of findingsEnsure proper documentation and adherence to SOPs and financial policies

Team leadership and capability building

Lead and develop a local finance team (GL, AP, AR, etc.)Foster a high-performance, compliance-focused cultureIdentify capability gaps and provide coaching/trainingRecruit young talents and grow and develop team members. Ensure succession planning for key positions are in place, including associated development plans.

System and process improvement

Drive the implementation of standard process and system, in close collaboration and alignment with Business and Group Finance functions. Drive continuous improvement and automation initiativesSupport finance transformation projects and integration of acquisitions (common in Eurofins)

Business partnering

Collaborate with Business Controller/Business Unit Leader to:monitor cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirementsoptimize working capital (AR collection, AP cycles, inventory if applicable)

Others

Post-merger integration: Lead the setup and stabilization of accounting and administrative processes for newly acquired entities, ensuring alignment with Group standards.Ad hoc support: Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Finance Director. Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance or relevant field8 -10 years of progressive accounting/finance experienceStrong analytical skills, able to quickly comprehend complicated structures and processes.Excellent technical financial skills including: accounting, reporting, audit, internal control, tax and net working capital management. Knowledge of IFRS and Taiwan GAAP.Solid experience in audit, taxation, and statutory compliance in TaiwanHands-on experience with ERP systems (Digiwin system preferred)Advanced Excel skillsExperience in process standardization and internal controls frameworksHigh integrity and strong compliance mindsetAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Excellent communication skills in English and MandarinStrong stakeholder management across local and global teamsProactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented. Ability to go into the right level of details when needed but as well to maintain a “helicopter view”.
