About this role
MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.
*Responsibilities*:
* Carry out all tasks and procedures in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or recognized standard reference methods. * Report any deviation from documented procedures to your direct line manager, or nominated person. * Sign and Issue Test Reports when authorization is received. * Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person of any nonconforming event related to customer samples, or other departmental operations. * Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person conditions within the department. * Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire. * Monitor the performance of the equipment and QCs and report all deviations to your direct line manager, or nominated person. * Practicing good housekeeping. * Communicate general laboratory issues to your direct line manager, or nominated person as appropriate. * Perform other duties as required by management.
*Quality Assurance and Compliance:*
* Follow Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QAQC), and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. * Raise non-conformance investigation requests to the QAQC department as necessary.
*Requirements*:
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask. * Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently. * Detail orientated and ability to work very well under pressure. * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. * BSc or Technical Diploma in Chemistry or a scientific discipline or equivalent experience. * 0-3 years? experience in a commercial laboratory. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. * Well-versed in the operation and implementation of LIMS.
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
