MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.
This position will be located at our head office in Langley, BC. We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:
*Responsibilities:*
* Perform Geochem weighing in accordance with documented standard operation procedures. * Oversee weighing team?s day-to-day safety, production and work performance. * Oversee and maintain daily balance verification and production record. * Provide training to new team members. * Coordinate with digestion and specialty assay team members and staff from other departments to achieve the highest productivity. * Communicate and report general laboratory issues to the Geochem Supervisor as appropriate. * Perform daily weighing production calculation. * Assist in monthly CRM inventory counting. * Assist in ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 audit. * Organize and schedule the cleanliness of weighing workspace. * Perform other duties as required by Management.?
*Requirements:*
* Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently. * Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English. * Detail oriented and ability to work well under pressure. * Able to follow written and verbal instructions. * Diploma in Chemical Sciences / Technology or equivalent experience. * 1-2 years' experience in a wet chemistry preparation facility at a commercial lab is preferred, but not required. * Must be fit and able to perform the inherent requirements of the job.
