Manitoba Chicken Producers (MCP), a Winnipeg based, not-for-profit hatching egg and chicken producer organization, is seeking Poultry Field TechnicianFull-Time – 6-month TermThis position may develop into a permanent similar position. The successful candidate will:have poultry experiencehave experience drawing blood, or willingness to learnhave strong verbal and written communication skillsbe detail-orientedadhere to biosecurity measures outlined by MCPhave a reliable vehicle and valid drivers' licensebe willing to travel within the province, generally within 200 km from Winnipeg. The position primarily entails: environmental and blood sampling on broiler breeder farmsdelivering samples to the lab and monitoring resultsassisting with broiler breeder and broiler on-farm programsassisting with live animal eventsassisting with regulatory administrationworking both independently and with team membersworking in the field and in the office (approximately 50/50).
