About this role
The Technical Services Officer leads and manages the maintenance team at National Historic Sites in the northern area of the Manitoba Field Unit. The position coordinates the inspection of assets, compliance testing and reporting, identifies work requirements, actions work requests, plans and schedules work performed by in-house staff and external contractors. The position is directly accountable for managing financial resources including an annual operations and maintenance budget as well as special project funds. The position provides technical expertise and support to the Manitoba Field Unit Superintendent, Asset Manager, internal clients and stakeholders. As a member of the Field Unit, you will supervise and provide daily direction to staff located in Churchill, Manitoba, ensuring the effective monitoring, maintenance, and management of the asset portfolio associated with sites managed in northern Manitoba.
