Experience:
• Minimum of one year experience and/or training required.
• Ability to read and write English.
Certifications/Licenses:
• Must be able to pass New York State Health Department requirements for food handlers.
Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm Friday-Tuesday

About the Role
The Housekeeping/Food Service Worker supports shelter operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food service, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for residents.
Primary Responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, kitchens, and dining areas.
• Assist with food preparation, serving, and cleanup in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and food service equipment.
• Follow infection control, health, and safety procedures.
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory control.
• Remove trash and maintain sanitation of waste areas.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
