About this role

Responsibilities:

The Buyer I is responsible for the management and coordination of all buying/sourcing activities. This individual works closely with S&OP, Application, Manufacturing, Design and Project teams to review, analyze and execute material plan in support of project requirements, as well as meet Culligan's KPI's/Metrics.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all purchasing and sourcing activities for multiple product lines/plants.

• Review purchase req's/convert to PO's.

• Negotiate and manage supplier pricing.

• Plan, schedule and monitor assigned materials with S&OP team using MRP (SAP S4HANA).

• Communicate and resolve any quality issues or rejects with supplier and internal stakeholders.

• NCR, Return to Supplier.

• Work with supplier to define root-cause and corrective action.

• Ability to work with R&D/Product Management to facilitate supply chain scope and feasibility for new products in the development pipeline with suppliers early in the process.

• Ability to develop RFP's for scope of supply, which includes product specifications, capacity, quality and distribution requirements.

• Interview and establish relationships with suppliers to source, finished goods, services, raw materials, components, and off shelf items based on price, quality, and delivery time.

• Measure and improve suppliers' performance to their contractual commitments (Supplier Scorecard).

• Work on procurement projects as required by NA Purchasing Manager.

• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of related experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain – SAP preferred, not required.

• Bachelors' Degree or equivalent experience required.

• Ability to work with little supervision and professionally interact directly with all levels of Engineers, Project Managers and Manufacturing, Accounting, Customer Service, and Quality Assurance.

• Knows expected industry lead times for parts and materials, and how to locate and qualify new sources.

• Demonstrated ability to create the supplier relationships and contracts required to support and grow a dynamic business.

• Proven capability in all Microsoft applications, with mid-level Excel skills.

Target Salary Range: $55,000 – $75,000 salary a year. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for competitive benefits, including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, disability benefits and 401(k).
