ABOUT THE POSITION:

MOSAIC Engage is looking for multiple experienced individuals to join our team of IELTS Speaking Examiners at our Kamloops and Abbotsford locations. MOSAIC will provide the necessary training and the applicant must be available for training on the last weekend of June 2026. IELTS Examiners are responsible for conducting speaking tests to IELTS standards. Most speaking examining shifts are Saturday afternoons and evenings, although we have certain shifts throughout the week as well. Our mission is to provide fair tests in a friendly and progressive setting. We believe everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. Tests are open to everyone and scored without bias.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be familiar with the requirements of IELTS Testing

• Participate in the development of appropriate systems, procedures, and standards for administering the service, implement them, and maintain them

• Assist the manager or IELTS Coordinator to establish, maintain, and improve the flow of IELTS Tests on the test day

• Provide a welcoming environment for IELTS Test candidates to support the best possible results

• Respond to feedback from the supervisor and Examiner Trainer to improve the Candidate experience

• Mark the Speaking Test results for candidates with fairness and neutrality

• Provide regular examination of candidates for the speaking module of the IELTS test at designated test sessions on Saturday afternoons

• Maintain confidentiality and security in all aspects of IELTS

• Comply fully with the Examiner Code of Practice and IELTS Confidentiality Undertaking

• Undertake scheduled standardization training and re-certification

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• An undergraduate or Master’s degree or a a combination of experience and qualifications that can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate or Master’s degree.

• A recognized qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or recognized equivalent as part of a recognized university award course.

• At least 3 years’ full-time (or the equivalent part-time) relevant TESOL teaching experience (minimum one-year post-certificate level qualification). The majority of the teaching experience must relate to adult students (16 years and over).

• Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required

HOURS & LOCATIONS:

On-Call (weekdays, weekends, and evenings)

Must be available for training for last weekend of Oct 2026

Working out of different locations possible: Abbotsford and Kamloops

COMPENSATION: $46.35 per hour
