Key Responsibilities
-Review and evaluate AI-generated responses involving scientific reasoning, engineering analysis, calculations, experimental design, and technical explanations -Identify factual errors, flawed assumptions, statistical traps, measurement issues, and incomplete reasoning -Develop realistic and challenging technical problems based on professional experience -Write clear, technically rigorous solutions that can be used as AI training examples -Grade AI-generated work against detailed evaluation criteria and rubrics -Provide specific corrective feedback when model outputs are inaccurate, ambiguous, or incomplete -Run assigned tasks through AI models and revise work based on expert reviewer feedback -Follow detailed written instructions, documentation standards, and file-upload requirements -Maintain consistent quality, accuracy, and productivity throughout the engagement -Complete long-form, independent assignments that may require several hours of focused work

DataAnnotation is seeking experienced science and engineering professionals for a 12-week AI training initiative.
This opportunity allows accomplished technical practitioners to apply their real-world expertise to the development of advanced AI systems. Contributors will evaluate AI-generated technical responses, identify errors in scientific and engineering reasoning, create realistic problems based on professional experience, and write clear, expert-level solutions.
This is not a traditional engineering position. There are no site visits, production schedules, direct reports, or stakeholder meetings. The work is fully remote, self-directed, and focused on using practical science and engineering knowledge to improve the accuracy and reliability of AI systems.
The strongest candidates are hands-on professionals who personally work with technical data, testing, measurement, modeling, simulation, experimental design, or process analysis.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New York, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125.00 - $125.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
