About this role

Job Title: Senior Accountant (Project Manager)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Staff or Senior Accountant to support accounting integration efforts related to an acquisition. This individual will work closely with accounting supervisors and leadership to help coordinate smaller-scale automation and process improvement initiatives while also assisting with day-to-day accounting responsibilities. This is not a traditional project management position. Instead, we are looking for an accounting professional who can help keep multiple initiatives moving forward, coordinate with stakeholders, learn new systems quickly, and step into accounting tasks as needed.Responsibilities• Track and coordinate accounting-related automation and process improvement projects• Partner with supervisors and accounting leadership to ensure project milestones are met• Follow up with stakeholders and help remove roadblocks impacting project timelines• Assist with acquisition-related integration efforts and process changes• Support accounting operations, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities as needed• Learn new systems and processes quickly to support ongoing transformation initiatives• Document procedures, workflows, and project status updatesIdeal Background• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance• 5-10+ years of accounting experience (Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Accounting Analyst, etc.)• Experience supporting accounting projects, implementations, process improvements, or automation initiatives• Strong organizational and communication skills• Comfortable working across multiple priorities simultaneously• Experience with ERP systems, system conversions, or acquisitions is highly preferred• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environmentWork EnvironmentThis role supports operational accounting teams during a major acquisition and integration, providing continuity in day-to-day billing, inventory, and settlement activities over an extended period. You will work closely with permanent team members who are focused on integration initiatives, stepping in to manage core accounting, reconciliation, invoicing, and transactional finance tasks. The environment is fast-paced and detail-oriented, with significant interaction across operations, logistics, and accounting functions. You will work with enterprise systems such as SAP and Right Angle, as well as multiple internal platforms used for billing, inventory tracking, and settlements. The position involves handling high volumes of data, supporting month-end close cycles, and participating in reporting and analysis activities. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
