Technical LeadershipOwn technical architecture and design decisions across the product suite, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with platform modernization goalsLead the technical strategy for AI-driven capability adoption, evaluating and integrating AI/GenAI tools and practices into engineering workflowsSet engineering standards and best practices for Java Full Stack development (Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React)Drive architectural decisions related to cloud infrastructure and platform migration effortsHands-On EngineeringContribute directly to complex application development, particularly on high-impact or high-risk componentsLead design and implementation of critical system enhancements and modernization initiativesPerform in-depth code reviews and set the technical bar for the team's outputMentorship & InfluenceMentor and coach senior and mid-level engineers, raising the overall technical capability of the teamAct as a technical escalation point for complex engineering problemsInfluence engineering culture and practices beyond a single team, partnering with architecture and other engineering leadsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with engineering, architecture, delivery, and product leadership to shape technical roadmapsRepresent engineering in cross-functional planning for major initiatives (e.g., platform modernization, AI adoption)Communicate technical trade-offs and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrategic OwnershipIdentify technical risks and opportunities proactively, rather than executing only against defined ticketsDrive continuity and stability across critical systems during periods of transition or modernizationContribute to long-term technical vision and roadmap planning for the engineering organizationYou will report to an Engineering ManagerYou are required to WFO 2 days a week as its a Hybrid work mode Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.4–7 years of experience in Java Full Stack developmentStrong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and MicroservicesFrontend development experience with Angular or ReactWorking knowledge of cloud technologieExposure to AI/GenAI technologies and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms Experian is also proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
