About this role

Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements: Experience developing and applying processes, techniques, and tools to capture, track, correct, and report on IT hardware assets and associated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.Ability to interpret complex IT hardware asset information and present it in a simplified format to peers and management.Experience agreeing the scope of IT hardware asset management standards, plans, processes, and procedures with stakeholders to optimise the capture and use of asset management data.Proven experience managing IT hardware assets and ensuring changes are properly impacted and communicated.Experience evaluating existing IT hardware asset management systems and leading continuous improvement of IT asset management procedures. Responsibilities: Provide colleagues with the tools and technology they need to deliver vital services to millions of citizens.Help manage approximately 125,000 IT assets, including laptops, peripherals, and printers, supporting colleagues across DWP and wider government.Play a key role in ensuring IT assets are accurately tracked, governed, and managed throughout their lifecycle.Develop and improve asset management processes, policies, and controls.Use data and insight to support decision-making, drive compliance, and enhance service delivery.Work with stakeholders across Digital, operational teams, and suppliers to help ensure the technology estate remains well-managed, cost-effective, and fit for purpose.
