About this role

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements: Previous experience creating technical or operational documentation within a business environmentConfidence working with multiple stakeholders to gather information and document complex processesStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and ExcelExperience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics or another operational environment would be advantageousExcellent written communication with the ability to simplify technical information for a wide audienceStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentationExperience creating process maps, visual work instructions and structured documentationGood organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesComfortable analysing information and identifying opportunities to improve documentation and working practicesUnderstanding of document control and version management principlesExperience supporting continuous improvement or operational excellence initiatives is desirableNaturally organised with excellent planning skillsCurious and eager to understand how processes workComfortable working with people at all levels of the organisationProactive in identifying improvements rather than simply recording existing practicesAdaptable and able to manage changing prioritiesCommitted to maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistencyA collaborative team player with a positive approach to problem solving Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a wide range of operational documents, ensuring they are accurate, consistent and easy to understandObserve and document existing processes, identifying opportunities to improve clarity, efficiency and standardisationProduce documentation such as operating procedures, work instructions, visual guides, process maps, checklists, equipment setup guides and training materialsWork alongside production, engineering, quality and continuous improvement teams to capture best practice and ensure documentation reflects current methodsReview existing documents regularly, updating them to reflect operational or legislative changesIncorporate photographs, diagrams, flowcharts and other visual aids to improve user understanding, via the shop floorSupport the rollout of new procedures by creating documentation suitable for training and onboardingEnsure all controlled documents follow agreed formatting, version control and document management standardsAssist with internal audits by ensuring documentation remains compliant and readily availableHelp embed a culture of continuous improvement by supporting the standardisation of processes across operational areasProduce reports and analyse operational data where required to support improvement activitiesContribute to improvement projects by documenting new processes and maintaining accurate records throughout implementation Technologies: ExcelSupport More:
