Salary: £40,000 - 67,500 per year
Requirements: 2 years of formal Engineering Management experience.10 years in Backend Software Development.Proven experience leading legacy-to-cloud migrations or major replatforming.Knowledge of AWS and highly regulated environments (SOX/GDPR) is a plus. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor by directly managing and growing a team of backend/data engineers.Partner with Product and Architecture to shape roadmaps and ensure SOX/GDPR compliance.Drive ownership of critical production systems, technical debt reduction, and cloud-native practices.Lead the team migrating our legacy SAP EEC system to SAP S/4HANA (RISE with SAP).Be accountable for people leadership, platform health, and high-stakes delivery outcomes.Use technical credibility to guide architectural decisions and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
